The problem

The organisations worth calling are listed across hundreds of public registers and directories, each in its own format. A spreadsheet of them says who exists. It does not say who can be reached, or what was said last time.

The idea

Collect every record into one place and keep its source attached. Then rank the list by who can be reached, so it answers who to contact next.

How it is built

A build step reads the collected records and derives an area, a contact status and a confidence for each. The interface is a static page; stages, notes and follow-ups are kept in the browser.

Read the diagram as text

Public sources are collected into records, and each record keeps its source. If its sources agree, the record joins the ranked list, most reachable first, and a lead moves through the pipeline from there. A record whose sources disagree is marked uncertain until a person has checked it.

Scope

Signal Studio CRM is a developed internal tool that runs locally. It is not connected to the Signal Studio app and it sends no outreach. The totals in the film are the collection’s own on the day it was rendered, and include unverified and possibly duplicated records. The organisations and contact details shown are invented examples, and the pipeline and activity are illustrative.
